Leah Joyner is the Consultant and Founder of HCM Tech Advisory. With a career spanning over two decades as a systems analyst and implementation manager, Leah has witnessed firsthand the challenges HR leaders clients face in the complex world of HR technology. Her strength expertise lies in simplifying technical terms and providing clear, actionable advice, empowering HR leaders to make informed decisions that drive success. Leah’s career journey began as an Actuarial Analyst at Deloitte Consulting, where she partnered with clients on employee benefits designing, budgeting, forecasting, and delivery. Her transition into HR technology came unfolded at Lifeworks (TELUS Health), where she managed large-scale implementations for clients with over 50,000 employees.
Later, As Director of HRIS at Revature, she led the global implementation of Workday HCM, overseeing the entire project life cycle and overseeing the US Health and Welfare Program. Leah holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Actuarial Science and a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation.
In 2022, Leah founded HCM Tech Advisory to help clients overcome the complexities of HR technology. With extensive hands-on experience deploying global HCM solutions and a deep understanding of the strategic pressures HR leaders face, Leah offers practical, insightful solutions tailored to each client’s unique needs.
